Bernard left his position as President and CEO of Union Trust, a company he founded, to launch his new company - Republic Bancorp. His banking expertise and his entrepreneurial grit guided the bold transformation of this financial corporation, Republic Bank & Trust Company, into becoming the largest community bank in Kentucky.
His leadership in his beloved Louisville community is legend and exemplifies hard work, dedicated, focus, entrepreneurial conviction, and outstanding skill. Jean and Bernard have been partners in marriage and business for 55 years. Their love for each other, their family, Republic Bancorp, and the University of Louisville is testament to the ideals underscoring their remarkable success.
