1. General Knox Marker
Inscription.
During January 23rd and 24th of 1776, General Knox and his regiment moved the cannons from Fort Ticonderoga in upstate New York through Shrewsbury to position them on Dorchester Heights. This resulted in the Colonials successfully dislodging the British from Boston. The British encampment was reestablished in White Plains, New York.
