The medieval house is listed in the tax books of the 14th century as being divided into two parts with two different owners. In 1826 it was still shown on a plan with two house entrances facing the Neumarkt.
The house probably received its current appearance with the generous, regular windows in 1832 during a renovation with extensive renovation of the facades.
