Shortly after 1286, it was added to the Grosser Propheten (Froschaugasse 10) as a three-storey stone building with a pent (or single-pitched) roof. In 1560, the fourth storey was added by raising the roof.
In 1865, the ground and first floors of the medieval house received their current appearance through extensive reconstruction for the baker Heinrich Schappi.
