Schloss Vaduz , Die Ursprünge des Schlosses liegen vermutlich im 12. Jahrhundert. Der Bergfried wurde wahrscheinlich als eine der ersten Bauten errichtet und später durch einen Wohnturm ergänzt. Dieser Wohnturm kann auf das Jahr 1287 datiert werden. Erstmals erwähnt wird es 1322. In den Besitz des Hauses Liechtenstein kam es 1712 und diente unter dem Namen Hohenliechtenstein der Landvogtei als Sitz mit Dienstwohnungen im Westtrakt bis 1732. Danach verfiel es zunehmend, und erst von 1905 bis 1912 wurde es einer gründlichen Renovation unter- zogen und wiederhergestellt. Fürst Franz Josef II. liess es dann ausbauen und bewohnbar machen. 1939 zog er mit seiner Familie ein und nahm ständi- gen Wohnsitz., Eine Besichtigung des Schlosses ist nicht möglich jedoch bietet der Kurzfilm «Fürstliche Momente», gezeigt täglich im Alten Kino Vaduz, interessante Einblicke hinter die Schlossmauern und informiert über die Geschichte des Schlosses und des Fürstenhauses., Das Miniaturschloss wurde von Alfred Würgler in unzähligen Stunden Handarbeit angefertigt und 2006 der Gemeinde Vaduz aus dem Privatbesitz zur Verfügung gestellt. 2022 wurde die Miniatur im Auftrag der Gemeinde Vaduz durch Klaus Brandl einer umfassenden Restaurierung unterzogen und hat im November 2022 auf fürstlichem Boden, direkt neben dem Liechtenstein Center, eine neue Heimat gefunden., Castle Vaduz , Vaduz Castle lies on a hillside 120 metres above Vaduz. Vaduz Castle is first mentioned in documents dating back to 1322. In 1939 the Prince moved in with his family and adopted Vaduz Castle as his official residence., It is not possible to visit the castle, but the short film «Princely Moments», shown daily at Altes Kino Vaduz, provides interesting insights behind the walls and informs about the history of the castle and the Princely House., The miniature castle was made by Alfred Würgler in countless hours of manual labour and was made available to the municipality of Vaduz from private property in 2006. In 2022, the miniature was comprehensively restored by Klaus Brandl on behalf of the municipality of Vaduz and found a new home in November 2022 on princely grounds directly next to the Liechtenstein Center. ,
