1. Pigmy Cabin Marker
Inscription.
A typical miner's dwelling during the Gold Rush Days. Built in 1860, called The Pigmy Cabin, it was partially destroyed over the years by vandals seeking firewood and souvenirs.

Restoration done as a Boy Scout Eagle Project by Michael Sean Henderson, Boy Scout Troop 490, Cypress, Calif. Completed September 30, 1980, with the aid of: B.B. Brown - technical advisor - Big Bear Valley Historical Society, Marion Borrell and the U.S. Forest Service, members of BST 490 Steve Williamson, Jon K. Phillips, Cris Williamson, Kevin Brown, Doug Markel, Mike Barker, Richard Todd, Michael Todd, Robby Pruitt. Homestead Supplies, Lyon's Trophies, Riffenburgh Lumber. I. & B. Baker.

The cabin was restored in 1980.
Fire destroyed the cabin in November 1983.
