Inscription.
During the course of America's involvement in Vietnam, over 58,000 U.S. service men and women lost their lives. Although it was never officially classified as a "war," Vietnam was America's longest period of continuous combat, 1959 - 1975, prior to the 21st century.

This memorial honors the men and women who served in the Vietnam conflict. As a special tribute, this memorial is lovingly dedicated to the men from the Whiting - Robertsdale community whose images are represented here.
