Elliott in Pittsburgh in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania — The American Northeast (Mid-Atlantic)
Rolf Rohn
Untitled
Ceramic Tile, Glass
1980
Rohn, a graduate of Duquesne University, has worked around the world as a liturgical artist and design consultant, specializing in Roman Catholic worship spaces. The influence of sacred art can be seen in his design for this mosaic mural, which references the visual language of stained-glass windows. The mural looks "out" of the window onto the landscape of Pittsburgh, showing the location of West End Park, and including a small depiction of the artwork itself.
Erected by City of Pittsburgh.
