1. Merchants National Bank Marker

Inscription.
The original structure was established in 1860 as a branch of the Merchants & Mechanics Bank of Wheeling. The current structure was built in 1894. Its first president was Nathan Goff, Sr., followed by his nephew, Nathan Goff, Jr., then R.T. Lowndes. It was under Lowndes that the present structure was built.
