A fine example of the large bungalows built in the district, this one and one-half story, double pile, weatherboarded house, constructed in 1919, is three bays in width, and has a large center gabled dormer...

Thomas P. Pruitt (1893-1958) a native of Wisconsin, was a prominent lawyer and past president of the North Carolina Bar Association. He was active, in a number of organizations including the Hickory Kiwanis Club, and the First Baptist Church, and held numerous public offices which included the State Board of Law Examiners and

2. Thomas P. Pruitt House. Marker is to the left of the front entrance
judge of the Hickory Municipal Court between 1918-1922. He served as Catawba County attorney from 1937-1948. He also helped to organize the Carolina Mills, Inc. in 1928, and was serving as vice-president, director and counsel at his death.
