1. 9/11 Memorial Marker
This memorial was dedicated September 11, 2014 to honor and remember the almost 3,000 innocent victims Murdered during the four terrorist attacks upon our country on September 11, 2001.
The terrorists hi-jacked four passenger aircraft and turned them into missiles. American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines Flight 175 struck the World Trade Center in N.Y.C., American Airlines Flight 77 hit the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. and United Airlines Flight 93 crashed at Shanksville, PA.
This was the most horrific peacetime assault in our country's history, which murdered defenseless civilians, fathers, mothers, sisters, brothers and grandparents. The nation came together and mourned. Every state in this great country sent aid to the three sites that were attacked.
We must "never forget". Future generations will learn from this memorial so that history will not repeat itself. May those who visit this memorial remember the ultimate sacrifice made by brave men and women of the N.Y.C. Fire Dept, N.Y.C. Police Dept. and other uniformed emergency service responders
