1. The Falcon Joslin House (1904) Marker
This solidly built, almost square, two-story home was constructed in the 1904 to 1905 time period as a family home for Falcon Joslin and his family. Falcon Joslin was born in Tennessee and was educated as a lawyer. He practiced law in Seattle from 1890 through 1897 and then joined the Gold Rush to Dawson City and the Klondike. While there he practiced law, managed the electric utility, developed coal mines, and was the driving force for the Coal Creek Coal Mine Railway. Gold production decreased in the Dawson area, and in 1903 Falcon Joslin and his business associate, Martin Harris, investigated the Fairbanks "prospects." F. Joslin then moved here.
With their entrepreneurial spirits, business experiences and financial connections, F. Joslin and M. Harrais were two founding fathers of the Tanana Mines Railway and essential to its success. Mr. Joslin served as President of the Tanana Mines Railway and its financially reorganized successor, the Tanana Valley Railroad, from 1904 until its bankruptcy sale on November 1, 1917. His wife and children did live in this house occasionally from 1904 to 1916 but apparently

In subsequent years, other owners of this prominent home included F.E. Company, who used this dwelling for its personnel, and an Alaskan judge and his family. The home has been modified to incorporate modern living conveniences.
