Hier im Quadrat N6 befand sich bis zu ihrer Zerstörung im Jahre 1943 die "Rheinische Ingenieurschule, gegründet 1898 als private Anstalt von Dr. Paul Wittsack, seit 1939 "Städtische Ingenieurschule" und seit 1962 "Staatliche Ingenieurschule". Sie ist Vorläuferin der heutigen Fachhochschule Mannheim - Hochschule für Technik und Gestaltung in der Windeckstraße.

English Translation:
Here in square N6 was the site of the "Rheinische Ingenieurschule" (Rhineland Engineering School), founded in 1898 as a private institution by Dr. Paul Wittsack, since 1939 the "Städtische Ingenieurschule" (Municipal Engineering School) and since 1962 the "Staatliche Ingenieurschule" (State Engineering School), until its destruction in 1943. It is the forerunner of today's Mannheim University of Applied Sciences - University of Applied Sciences for Technology and Design in Windeckstrasse.
