1. Site of Sundown Village Marker

Inscription. This prairie village began in 1895 with the opening of the Sundown-Willow Lake creamery which became the largest in the county with 173 patrons. This village included a post office, two stores, photo shop, smithy and a few homes. Pop 25.

In 1905 the post office closed to rural delivery. The creamery closed in 1914 and the town ceased to exist.

This marker is dedicated in 1971 in memory of the pioneers of this area.
