1. City Hotel Marker
Inscription. The great fire of 1893 destroyed the Frame City Hotel, owned by John Mar. It was replaced by this brick building constructed by James Lyle in 1894. Along with his partner Moses Wagner, they operated the City Hotel until the 1920’s. After that, the building had several owners and was demolished in the 1940’s.
