Excerpts from the Claremont High School Historic District Nomination Form:

The David M. McComb, Jr. House, built in 1939, is a symmetrical three bay, two story, brick veneered dwelling covered by a gable roof. Prominent corbeled quoins framing the elevations, a narrow cornice, gable end returns, and demi-lune fanlights in the gable ends describe its Federal Revival style design.

David M. McComb, Jr. was a prominent lawyer and city judge who had this house built on family land. He was the son of David M. McComb,
