Dem Andenken nn Karl Graf von Graimberg geb. zu Schlok Paar in frankreich 1774 gest. zu Heidelberg 1864 widmet diefen Denkstein in dankbarer Anerkennung der Perdienste, die er sich um diese Ruinen als Künstler durch seine bildlichen Darstellungen und als schükender freund erworben hat, Die Stadtgemeinde Heidelberg.

English Translation:
The city of Heidelberg dedicates this memorial to the memory of Karl Graf von Graimberg, born in Schlok Paar in France in 1774 and died in Heidelberg in 1864, in grateful recognition of the services he rendered to these ruins as an artist through his pictorial representations and as a loving friend.

2. Karl Graf von Graimberg Marker
at Heidelberg (where he later died) to draw the ruins of Heidelberg Castle, devoting the rest of his life to their protection and restoration, creating a series of engravings of them and convincing Leopold, Grand Duke of Baden to repair part of them. He also became a friend of Helmina von Chézy.
