Wednesday, August 23, 1944 around 4 p.m., while driving a truck requisitioned by the FFI from the Etablissements R Bacholle & Cie and was going to the Quai de la Gare to carry out a flour supply mission. The truck came under fire from a German column at the corner of rue Diderot and rue Picpus.
