More about this memorial. The old St. Joseph and St. Anne school building is, as of 2024, the home of Sandra Cisneros School. In October 2024, the charter school organization that runs the school, Acero, announced that Cisneros and six other schools it operates in the city would be closing at the end of the 2024-2025 school year.

The church that is attached to the school is now called Our Lady of Fatima; the church building is near the California Avenue and 38th Street intersection.
