Regarding The Freedom Run. The Illinois Motorcycle Freedom Run is an annual cross-state ride that began in 2003. The organizers are known to have established at least three more memorials to veterans of Middle East conflicts, including one in Chicago, about 12 miles northeast of here in front of the Jesse Brown VA hospital in the Illinois Medical District.

Excerpt: "On June 19th, 2004, with great love and dedication from over twenty thousand participants and organizers, an amazing event took place. A granite memorial wall was dedicated commemorating the soldiers who have lost their lives in Middle East conflicts from 1980 Operation Desert One and Lebanon barracks bombing to present day."
