The Old Government Building
Inscription.
The building was designed by architect Henrik Bull (1864-1953) and is the southern and only completed wing of what was intended as a large H-shaped government complex in Art Nouveau style. Work on the building began in 1898, and it was completed in 1906 as the first monumental building after the dissolution of the Union. The Ministry of Finance moved in on 9 June 1906 and has been here ever since.
