1. Livengood & Company Marker
Inscription.
In 1887, JD & GW Livengood of Elklick, Penn visited Scott City and decided to open a mercantile store. They traveled to Chicago and purchased $8,000 of stock to open their mammoth store. In 1899, they built a new store on this site and operated it until they sold it in 1918 to SE Bear and TR Wimberly.
