1. Altes Katholisches Schulhaus / Old Catholic Schoolhouse Marker
Inscription.  German:

English Translation:
The representative Baroque house was used as the new schoolhouse for the Catholic community in 1789. Even after the purely denominational elementary schools were abolished in 1876, some rooms were used for school lessons until they were moved into by the Catholic kindergarten in 1900. The Catholic nuns lived here until 1978, and their social and charitable work was continued by the social station that was housed in the old schoolhouse until 1988. The sisters also ran a day-care center for schoolchildren and a sewing school that had been founded in 1892 until the 1970s. Today, the house houses apartments and event rooms for the Catholic parish.

A sculpture of the Three Kings by Volker Dursy has stood in the corner niche on the outside of the building since 1985.

Erected by Schwetzingen.
