1. Captain George Fraser Kerr / Captaine George Fraser Kerr Marker
Born at Deseronto on June 5, 1899, he attended tended Galt Collegiate from 1908 to 1913 and joined the 3rd Battalion, C.E.F. in 1914, going to France in 1915. As a corporal, he won the Military Medal in Mont Sorrel in June 1916. Recovering from his wounds in England, he was appointed & Lieutenant and returned to his unit in July, 1917. He won the Military Cross at Amiens in August, 1918, and a second MC at Bourlon Wood when not fully recovered from earlier wounds. On September 27, 1918, he won the Victoria Cross at Bourlon Wood when he rushed a stronghold and single-handed captured four machine guns and 31 prisoners. In Canada, he continued with militia service and a business career in toronto, where he died on December 8, 1929 and was buried with full military honours in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Erected by the Highland Fusiliers of Canada with the support of the citizens of the City of Cambridge and the Ontario Heritage Foundation. Captain Kerr is honoured by a Provincial Plaque at Desoronto.

In tant que caporal il recoit la médaille militaire a tort sorrel en jun 1916, il est home meutenant alors qu'il se remet de ses blessures at angleterre et de joint son regiment in juizzes 1917. il recon la croix militaire à amtens en août 1919, at the seconde cloiz miataire au bois de boullon alors qu'il ne s'est pas encore remis de blessures antérieures. le 27 septembre 1913, 12 gague la croix da victoria au bois de bourlon pour avoir oris d'assaut une place forta at capture a lui seul quater mitrailleuses et 1 prisonniers, au canada, il continue son service dans la milace at entreprend une carrière d'affaires à Toronto, ou il meurt le décembre 1929, 1 bat there avec tous les honneurs militaires au cimetière de Mount Pleasant.
