Inscription.
A devoted community worker, Good Samaritan, neighbor, husband, brother and friend, Navy Veteran of World War II: instrumental in founding the Mt. Grove Volunteer Fire Department in 1981; “King Fireman" in 1982, a member of Aurora Lions Club, and Aurora Volunteer Fire Department for 22 years (1962-1984): Union District Commissioner (1980-1982); life member Aurora-Terra Alta V.F.W. Post #578; member of the Brethern Church.

He is deeply missed by the community and his memory will long endure in our hearts for the charitable good deeds that made this community a better place.
