1. McAllister Tower Marker
Inscription.
Designed in Neo-Gothic Revival style by architects Miller & Pflueger. Originally Temple Methodist Episcopal Church and William Taylor Hotel. In 1936, the building became the Empire Hotel, home of the Skyroom, San Francisco's first view lounge. Building converted to federal use in 1942 to support war effort. Transferred to UC Hastings College of the Law in 1978 - with the assistance of Walter Shorenstein - becoming part of California's oldest public law school, founded in 1878 by Serranus Clinton Hastings, CA’s first Chief Justice.

This building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

President Kamala Harris graduated from this college in 1989. The law school is now known as University of California College of the Law, San Francisco.
