Hier woonde in 1952-53 de dichter en kunstschilder Lucebert (Lubertus Swaanswijk, 1924-1994), voorman van de dichtersgroep de 'Vijftigers'. Van zijn hand is de bekende dichtregel: 'Alles van waarde is weerloos'.

The poet and painter Lucebert (Lubertus Swaanswijk, 1924-1994), head of the poet's group known as the 'Vijftigers', lived here from 1952 to 1953. The well-known poetry line 'Alles van waarde is weerloos' (Everything of value is defenceless) was written by him.
