Inscription.  German:
Als erstes strahlgetriebenes Schulflugzeug hob die TF-80C, eine gestreckte Version der F-80, am 22. März 1948 zu ihrem Erstflug ab. Im Mai erhielt das Muster seine endgültige Bezeichnung T-33 und bald darauf seinen Spitznamen T-Bird. Das war der Anfang einer großen Karriere in den 1950er Jahren. 1961 wurde die T-33 von der überschallschnellen T-38 abgelöst.

English:
The TF-80C, an elongated version of the F-80, was the first trainer aircraft powered by jet engines. It made its first flight in March 1948. In May the prototype received its final designation T-33 and shortly afterwards its nickname „T-Bird". This was the beginning of a great career in the 1950s. In 1961 the T-33 was replaced by the supersonic aircraft T-38.

2. The Lockheed T-33A Trainer and Marker
and made its first flight in 1948. The T-33 was developed from the Lockheed P-80/F-80 starting as TP-80C/TF-80C in development, then designated T-33A. It was used by the U.S. Navy initially as TO-2, then TV-2, and after 1962, T-33B. The last operator of the T-33, the Bolivian Air Force, retired the type in July 2017, after 44 years of service.
