Robert, Lemuel, and James Shepherd, originally from Cardigan, headed to the Klondike seeking riches. Unlike the masses, they struck gold! Returning home for a visit, the brothers gifted family members some gold nuggets and their younger brother Thomas a pair of gold cufflinks. They also purchased land for their parents. All Saints Church received a pair of angels and a new organ, which remain there today.,
