1. Edward Stanley Temple marker

Inscription. Edward Stanley Temple coached the legendary Tennessee State University Women's Track and Field team from 1950-1994. His Tigerbelle dynasty won 34 national championships. Forty Tigerbelle Olympians earned one or more academic degrees and won a combined 23 medals: 13 gold, 6 silver, and 4 bronze. Temple served as head coach of the U.S. Olympic Women's Track and Field Team in 1960 and 1964 and is one of only four coaches in the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame.
