Regarding Harry H. Nichols House. The Queen Anne-style Nichols House is one of about a dozen buildings in Maywood that were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. It was built for Harry Nichols, who served for a time as Maywood's postmaster and was also the president of the Maywood Company, which developed this suburb about 10 miles west of downtown Chicago.
