Welcome to the Old Saybrook Stupa

The stupa is one of the most ancient monuments in the world. It is a Buddhist symbol of the enlightened mind and a path to its realization. It is believed to radiate peace, harmony and healing.

To receive optimal benefit and to show due respect, circumambulate the stupa in a clockwise direction, keeping the stupa on your right side.

This stupa, the first in Connecticut, represents the efforts and donations of more than a thousand individuals from a wide range of spiritual traditions.
