The Original Kenny Ray’s Restaurant
80 N Main
In the 1920s a freighting company owned by the Foy family occupied this corner. Ted Chidester built a new building to house his restaurant Ted’s Place in the 1930s. In the 1940s Joe and Vee Foy and Harry Gardner constructed the current building as a Ford automobile dealership. After the Ford Dealership was sold and moved, Vee Foy and his wife Mary opened Foy’s Country Corner Café, serving up home style meals for many years. The south end of the building housed NAPA Auto Parts before it moved to its current location at 85 North Main Street. Dr. Mitch Miller and his family acquired and remodeled the café in 2015, naming it Kenny Ray’s after his late father, Kenneth Miller.
Historic Panguitch Inn
50 N Main
The original building at this site was Pendleton Blacksmith Shop. Under new ownership, Bergin Garage repaired cares there until it burned down. In a new building, Hunt Chevrolet Dealership sold and serviced cars in the 1930s. In the mid 1940s the Hunts built a new two story brick structure with apartment housing in the second floor and the Chevrolet dealership below. This building later became the Hwy 89 Lodge. The covered garage area housed a bowling alley for several years in the 1960s which was replaced by a sewing factory. The building then became the present day Panguitch Inn.
