Victorian Lane

Many businesses, including the Elk Pharmacy, Cowboy Collectibles ad the Little Indian Curio, have their beginnings in this building. Over the years it has been a shoe repair shop, a carpet store, a fly fishing shop ad a book store. In 2007 summer resident and local artist Becky Whitney opened Victorian Lane.

The Security Title building on the left once housed a bakery. The First State Bank of Salina opened a Panguitch branch there in the summer of 1955. A list honoring servicemen from Panguitch was mounted on a wall in this area. The northwest corner of Center and Main Street was home to the W.C Tebbs store, or “Little Eck”, the Southern Exchange in the 1930s. Later the Texaco Service Station stood here. A realty office and a clothing store once occupied the current building before it became a restaurant.

This building served as a grocery store which carried a selection of fresh meats. It then housed several restaurants. By 1964, the year of Panguitch’s Centennial Celebration, Orton Cafι had moved here from 63 North Main Street ad was serving hamburgers in a basket and offering punch boards and a juke box selection at each booth. The building was the wander-In Cafι in the 1970s and a Mexican restaurant at one time.
