…He joined the Resistance in the French Forces of the Interior (FFI) and took part in the fighting for the Liberation of Paris. On August 25, 1944, as the French forces of the Leclerc division entered Paris, the FFI attacked the Prince Eugène barracks held by the Germans. Albert Lecoq was mortally wounded during the fight in front of 30 rue Volta, in Paris (3rd arr.). He was taken to the Saint-Louis hospital, 2 place du Docteur-Alfred-Fournier, where he died at 1:45 p.m.(Submitted on November 10, 2024.)
