1. Welcome to the Reynolds House Marker
Inscription. Constructed by G.J. Reynolds in 1892, this grand home was occupied by the prominent and civic minded Reynolds family for over a century. The house was nearly destroyed by fire in 2014 and lay vacant and deteriorating until 2016, when it was acquired by Barre City First Lady Karen Lauzon. Over the next two years, Karen dedicated herself to its restoration and had the house placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Fittingly, the restoration was completed on Valentine's Day, 2019.
