A French politician, he was a steel hardener before becoming mayor of Sevran from 1938 to 1939. Arrested by the French police on the night of June 18 to 19, 1941, Gaston BUSSIÈRE was shot as a hostage by the German army on September 21, 1942 at Mont Valérien.
