Résistant sevranais, Auguste CRETIER est membre du Parti Communiste Français et du groupe des Forces Françaises Combattantes. Président du comité local de la Libération, il est abattu par les nazis le 27 août 1944, jour de la libération de Sevran.

1897-1944

A resistance fighter from Sevran, Auguste Crétier was a member of the French Communist Party and the French Fighting Forces group. President of the local Liberation Committee, he was shot by the Nazis on August 27, 1944, the day Sevran was liberated.

entered Sevran. While he was with his son and his small group, they were targeted by a burst of Nazi machine gun fire. Auguste Crétier, while he was not carrying a weapon, was killed by an explosive bullet on rue Michelet. He was shot on the day the city was liberated after a major battle…
