Rotary is a century old service organization with over 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs in over 200 countries. Rotary works to promote peace and understanding, diminish poverty, improve health conditions, champion education, protect women and children and to help grow our local communities. Rotary’s major service mission is the eradication of polio on a world wide scale.

The Rotary Club of Port Perry was founded in 1981. The club runs a number of events each year where the funds go to local and international projects. Our major fundraisers include the Spring Gala, The Golf Tournament and the Rotary Ribfest.

International projects the club is involved with include: The Rotary student exchanges, aid to disaster areas, and the DKSHA Orphanage in India.

Local projects include: donations to the Port Perry hospital, the library and Rotary room, the Rotary gazebo, the Rotary boardwalk and trail and benches, bursaries to UOIT, the arts, and Port Perry H.S., literacy projects, the Caesarea Skateboard Park, the Senior’s Christmas dinner, and many other local projects.
