Inscription. The Munson Block is a three-story, flat-roofed, commercial building constructed in 1904 for Harlan P. Munson to house his general store, which also sold feed and hardware in addition to dry goods. Besides the Munson General Store, over the years, the building has also served as an insurance office and a cabinetmaker's shop. The building's three-bay main faηade has a simple corbelled cornice with wood molding, arched windows, and a wide segmental arch mullion window centered on the second story. The building's elegant brick faηade is a striking feature in the commercial streetscape of Lower Main Street.

Places nomination that expanded the Morrisville Historic District in 2007:
In 1904 the 3 story brick Commercial style Munson Block (#34) was constructed for Harlan P. Munson (1847-1914) on Lower Main Street. It replaced Munson's frame building that had been used as a general store since 1878. Munson sold clothing, hardware, building supplies, feed and grain, fertilizers, seed and farm machinery. Upon Harlan's death in 1914, the business was continued by his only son Levi M. Munson (1881-1963).
