1. Tellico Tales: Veterans Memorial Marker

Inscription. The Tellico Plains Veterans Memorial honors the citizens of this beautiful town who fought for this amazing country. Started by the American Legion Society, on land donated by the city, the memorial was made to honor veterans active in all wars. May of 2001 brought forth the official dedication. After a few years it was in dire need of reconstruction. In 2007, members of the Legion club, Chamber of Commerce, Rolling Thunder, and a few locals banded together to revitalize the memorial. So, as you gaze upon memorial, take a moment to remember the lovely people who served, and heartwarming town they fought for.
