1. Woodward Block Marker

Inscription. Dr. George Woodward, a homeopathic physician and surgeon, erected this 2½-story Italianate-style commercial block in 1880. The façade's distinctive form, with its large arched roofline, gives it an unusual character. The upstairs was historically used as the owner's quarters, a tradition that continues today.

Over the years, it has been used for many different businesses. Around the 1920s it was a grocery called the Lamoille Fruit Store. More recently, it was inhabited by “Morrisville's barber” Rudy Loyola.

Erected 2018 by Morrisville Alliance for Culture and Commerce. (Marker Number 4.)
