From 1866 until the construction of their own building, Beebe Methodists shared the Union Meeting House, now known as the Advent Christian Church, with other religious groups. The first Methodist house of worship was built in 1877 where Beebe's former Municipal Hall is today. By 1890 the Methodist congregation had outgrown this building and a new more spacious one was required. The construction contact was let to Benjamin F. Kezar and Beebe Methodist church, diagonally across the street from their first one, was consecrated on January 13th, 1891. The Wesley Methodist became the Wesley United Church of Canada with church union on June 10th, 1925.
This splendid building in the Classic Revival style has noteworthy decorative features such as the cornice with [unreadable] (1), fancy-cut cedar [unreadable] and the facade's Palladian Art Noveau (stained glass).
