Inscription. [Francais]

school in Stanstead. The building designed by architect F.X. Berlinguet, a student of Thomas Baillargé, features a foundation (1) of local granite, a brick (2) exterior, a mansard roof (3) and dormer windows with triangular pediments (4). In September 1884 the Ursulines took their first students (150 boarders and day pupils). The education the Ursulines provided was well-received, and in 1894 they constructed a second building (5) to accommodate a student infirmary and a novitiate.

In 1907, the Ursulines commissioned architect Joseph Grégoire to design a third building (6) resembling the first one. This addition, the Sainte-Famille wing, includes a chapel of simple construction. In 1959, a statue of the Archangel Michael (7) was erected in front of the new building, and five more buildings were gradually added, and in 1973, a gymnasium was built.
