1. Mining Company Official’s Homes Marker
Inscription. The two homes visible beyond this sign were originally the homes of mining company officials. On the left is the home formerly allocated to the mine superintendent, who served as chief engineer in charge of the company’s entire mining department. On the right (not visible in the photograph) is the former home of the assistant superintendent, who served as second engineer. Both men worked out of the nearby Burra Burra mine office. The homes are privately owned today and are not part of the museum property.
