1. The Clinton Hotel Marker
Inscription. Built in 1820, this hotel was the best place to stay in Jordan. The building, originally two stories high, underwent major changes in 1870, including the addition of a third story and expansion to Clinton Street. In 1890 the drinking fountain arrived in Jordan. The fountain was titled, “Justice, Humanity, and Compassion.” The figure placed on top of the fountain was a statue of Diane.
