1. Moss Street School Marker
Inscription.
The Moss Street School was the Kingsbury District 4 and appears on the 1853 map of Washington County. On the 26th of May, 1849, the lot where the school is located was purchased by the Town of Kingsbury, from Thomas & Prudence Daily, for $18.00. Their home was just north of the school. The present school is recorded as being built in 1884.

In the 1950's the Moss Street School became part of the Hudson Falls Central School system, when the new school was built across the street. Following the school centralization the school was used by the Seventh Day Adventist Church as a parochial school, until they built a new school. It shortly after this became the current Washington County Head Start School.

It has been used, uninterrupted as a school longer than any other school building in Washington County.

Erected 2007 by Town of Kingsbury.
