1. Saffo Building Marker

Inscription. Late Art Deco style masonry and stucco commercial building built for Anthony Saffo (1892- 1966), restaurateur; wife, Anastasia Vassilaros (1892-1961), homemaker; and sister-in-law, Argiro V. Saffo (1901-2003), all natives of Ikaria, Greece. Remained in family for 73 years. Site of Tower 7 restaurant, opened in 2006 by local restaurateur and surfer Joshua B. Vach (1965-2019), UNCW Distinguished Citizen of the Year and Wrightsville Beach Museum Waterman Hall of Fame inductee.
