1. Audubon Trolley Station Marker

Inscription. Constructed to coincide with the development of the suburb Audubon, this is the only surviving passenger shelter of twenty stops on the electric trolley line between Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach. The line, owned and operated by the Tide Water Power Company (1907- 1952), was abandoned in 1940.
