Inscription.

This park is dedicated to the memory of W. C. “Dan” Daniel, who devoted his life to his family and to serving the people. His fiscal conservatism was exceeded only by his liberal love of family and nation. May those who play here, those who toil here, those who rest here, share that love.

May this park forever be a source of comfort and a place of peace.
